One-on-one instruction tailored to your goals. Great for first-time surfers, kids, adults, and anyone looking for a personalized surf lesson in Maui.
Itinerary

Meet your instructor at Kalama Park in South Kihei. Arrive approximately 10–15 minutes early to allow time for parking, check-in, and getting fitted with any necessary equipment before your lesson begins.

Before entering the water, you'll learn the fundamentals of surfing, including ocean awareness, surf safety, paddling techniques, board positioning, and how to pop up and ride a wave.

Put your new skills into practice with personalized, one-on-one instruction in the water. Your instructor will provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement throughout the lesson to help build confidence and improve technique.

Spend the remainder of your lesson catching waves and enjoying Maui's beautiful ocean environment. Your instructor will continue coaching and helping you progress while making the experience fun, supportive, and rewarding.

Lessons take place at Kalama Park in South Kihei, one of Maui's most popular beginner-friendly surf locations. Your instructor will guide you through ocean safety, paddling, wave selection, and surfing fundamentals while helping you progress at a pace that works for you.

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled lesson to allow time for parking, check-in, and preparation.
Liability Waiver
All participants must complete a liability waiver before participating in the lesson.
Weather Conditions
Surf lessons operate in a variety of weather conditions. If ocean conditions are unsuitable for instruction, we will work with you to reschedule whenever possible.
Health Requirements
Participants should be comfortable participating in light physical activity in the ocean. Please notify us of any injuries or medical concerns before your lesson.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that travel plans can change. Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your lesson are eligible for a full refund.
If Surf Yoga Maui needs to cancel a lesson due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you'll receive a full refund or, if you prefer, we'll be happy to help you reschedule.
Need more flexibility? Trip Protection allows you to cancel for any reason up to 2 hours before your lesson and receive a full refund, less the cost of Trip Protection and applicable processing fees.
No-shows and cancellations made within 48 hours without Trip Protection are non-refundable.
