We had a such a good time getting surf lessons! Eddie and his team were amazing with my three boys (ages 10, 8, and 4). All of them were standing up and riding waves confidently! We did have to reschedule due to weather, and they were super flexible with that. Can’t recommend them highly enough! 10/10. Thank you!

10/10 recommend! What an amazing time. Book it! Eddie was fantastic, & Maca and Johnny were also so welcoming and kind. Definitely get the photo package! My girl had the BEST experience, she hasn’t stopped talking about it all day. Support them- they’re literally amazing. A fantastic experience for sure

Eddie was soooo patient and knowledgeable. If he can get me surfing a wave he can get anyone to. We had so much fun taking this lesson and would highly recommend.

We had such a fun time, and Eddie was the best instructor!🏄It was our second time - we learned a lot and felt safe and taken care of the whole time!We will definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to learn to surf - with Eddie you will definitely catch a lot of waves!🌊

Eddie and crew are too notch. Our 2 14 year old girls went the first day and loved it so much, they convinced my wife and I to join them the next day. I was suspicious, but Eddie got this 50+ year old up and surfing the first time. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone of any age.

We had a wonderful experience learning to surf with Eddie. But I would be remiss if I didn’t note that his wife reached out the week prior due to the weather forecast and proactively moved our lesson up. Neither myself or my son (12) had surfed before and to be honest - I was nervous! Eddie put my fears at ease (my son had no fears!) and taught us basic steps on land and then we were off to the water to catch some waves and hopefully get up on our boards. My son took off first wave - easy up and he was a champ the entire time. Eddie even taught him how to do a 180 which he executed flawlessly. I was up on my 3rd run and with that - a surfing bug was caught and I know my son and I will definitely be back when in Maui to take more lessons. Thank you, Eddie, for the patience, lessons and helping us learn a new skill. Mahalo!

Far exceeded my expectations. Summer and Eddie were on top of things without being over the top. Relaxed efficient with Aloha. Eddie gave me all kinds of local intel including food history local knowledge. Great Value.

Not at all. Most of our guests are first-time surfers. Lessons are designed for beginners and focus on helping you feel comfortable, confident, and have fun in the water.
Yes. Surf lessons can be a great activity for children who are comfortable in the water and excited to learn something new. Many of our guests are families, and lessons are designed to be supportive, encouraging, and beginner-friendly.
There's no specific age requirement. But we recommend private lessons for children under 10 for safety and to maximize their experience. Otherwise, children under 10 must have a parent in the water with them.
All surf lessons take place at Kalama Park in Kihei, one of South Maui's most popular beginner-friendly surf locations. The park is conveniently located just minutes from Wailea and many South Maui resorts.
We recommend bringing a swimsuit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, water, and a change of clothes. Surfboards and any necessary lesson equipment are provided.
Surf lessons are offered in the morning, when ocean conditions are most favorable for instruction. Available lesson times can be viewed directly on the booking calendar for each surf lesson.
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during holidays and peak travel seasons. Advanced reservations help ensure availability for your preferred lesson type and date.
Absolutely! Family and friends are welcome to watch from the shore. Kalama Park has a large grassy area with a great view where they can relax, cheer you on, and enjoy the experience.
Yes. Plenty of public parking is available at Kalama Park, just a short walk from the lesson check-in area.
Kalama Park is located in the heart of Kihei and is close to beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and shopping. Many guests enjoy exploring the area before or after their surf lesson.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your lesson are eligible for a refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson start time and no-shows are non-refundable.
If Surf Yoga Maui must cancel a lesson due to unsuitable ocean conditions or unforeseen circumstances, we will work with you to reschedule whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
